Zemnick is a village in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is located approximately 12 kilometers (7 miles) southwest of Wittenberg, and 100 kilometers (62 miles) southwest of Berlin. The village has a population of approximately 200 people. The village has a long history, dating back to the 12th century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1183. The village was once part of the Duchy of Saxony, and later the Kingdom of Prussia. It became part of the German Empire in 1871. After the Second World War, Zemnick became part of the German Democratic Republic. It became part of the reunited Germany in 1990.
