Zelenokumsk, formerly known as Vorontsovo-Aleksandrovskoye, is a town in Stavropol Krai, Russia, located on the Kuma River at the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. The town has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Zelenokumsk was founded in 1848 as a Cossack settlement and later became a major center of agriculture and industry. Today, it is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Vorontsov Palace and the Zelenokumsk Museum of Local Lore.
