Yiwa is a county-level city located in the southwest of Gansu Province, China, at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains. It has a semi-arid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. The area has a long history, dating back to the Han Dynasty when it was known as Yiwa County. During the Tang Dynasty, it was a major trading center on the Silk Road. Today, Yiwa is home to several historical and cultural sites, including the Yiwa Temple, which was built in the 11th century.
