Yemetsk, Arkhangelskaya, Russia, also known as Emeck, is a town located at the confluence of the Yemets and Pinega rivers, approximately 150 kilometers south of Arkhangelsk. The town experiences a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Yemetsk has a rich history dating back to the 12th century, when it was founded as a trading post. It later became an important center for shipbuilding and trade, and played a significant role in the development of the Russian North. The town's heritage is reflected in its numerous historical buildings, including the Church of the Transfiguration (1788) and the Merchant's House (19th century).
