Yelat’ma is a town in Ryazan Oblast, Russia, located on the Oka River, 170 km southeast of Ryazan. The town has a population of 3,500 (2010) and an area of 10.2 square kilometers. Yelat'ma was founded in 1381 as a fortress to protect the Ryazan Principality from the Golden Horde. The town was granted town status in 1779. Yelat'ma is known for its preserved 19th-century architecture, including the Church of the Intercession (1802), the Church of the Epiphany (1808), and the Church of the Nativity of Christ (1829). The town is also home to the Yelat'ma Historical and Art Museum.
