Xinning, Sichuan, China, is a county-level city located in the northeast of Sichuan Province, at the latitude of 31.0851500 and longitude of 107.8650800. It has a humid subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 17.5 °C (63.5 °F) and an average annual precipitation of 1,100 mm (43 in). Xinning has a long history dating back to the Han dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD), and it was an important center of trade and commerce during the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD). The city is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Kaijiang Confucian Temple, the Kaijiang Ancient City Wall, and the Xinning Museum.
