Wyncote is a residential neighborhood in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States, located approximately 12 miles north of Center City, Philadelphia. The neighborhood has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Wyncote was originally part of a 2,500-acre tract of land purchased by William Penn in 1682. The neighborhood was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and many of the homes in the neighborhood are examples of Victorian and Colonial architecture.
