Worthington, Ohio, USA, is a suburban city located approximately 12 miles north of downtown Columbus. The city has a humid continental climate, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Worthington was founded in 1803 by James Kilbourne and was named after his friend Thomas Worthington, who later became the sixth governor of Ohio. The city has a rich heritage and is home to several historic landmarks, including the Worthington Historical Society and Museum and the Old Worthington Library.
