It is situated at the confluence of the Włoszczowska and Krasna rivers, at an elevation of 220 meters above sea level. The town has a temperate climate, with warm summers and cold winters. The average temperature in July is 18.5°C (65.3°F), while the average temperature in January is -2.5°C (27.5°F). Włoszczowa has a long and rich history, dating back to the 13th century. The town was granted city rights in 1428 by King Władysław II Jagiełło. Włoszczowa is home to a number of historical landmarks, including the 15th-century Church of St. Lawrence, the 18th-century Town Hall, and the 19th-century Palace of the Counts Tarnowski.
