Wilsonville is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, south of Portland. It is located in the Tualatin Valley, at the confluence of the Willamette and Tualatin Rivers. The city has a humid subtropical climate, with mild winters and warm, dry summers. Wilsonville was founded in 1847 by William Wilson, a pioneer from Kentucky. The city was originally named "Boones Ferry" after Boone County, Kentucky, but was later renamed after Wilson. The city also has a strong agricultural industry, with many farms and nurseries in the surrounding area.
