Weitramsdorf is a municipality in the district of Coburg, in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Upper Franconian Forest Nature Park, at the foot of the Gleichberge hills, and has a population of around 5,000. The average temperature in Weitramsdorf is 8.5 °C (47.3 °F), and the average annual precipitation is 700 mm (27.6 in). The municipality was first mentioned in 1317, and its history is closely linked to the nearby town of Coburg. Weitramsdorf is home to a number of historical buildings, including the 14th-century St. Bartholomew's Church and the 16th-century Weitramsdorf Castle.
