Weißensberg is a municipality in the district of Lindau in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Allgäu region, approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Lindau and 20 kilometers northeast of Bregenz, Austria. The municipality has a population of around 2,500 inhabitants and covers an area of 12.84 square kilometers. Weißensberg has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. The municipality was first mentioned in 810 AD and has a rich history that includes being part of the Holy Roman Empire, the Austrian Empire, and the Kingdom of Bavaria. Weißensberg is known for its well-preserved medieval town center, which features a number of historic buildings, including the 15th-century St. Nikolaus Church.
