Waynesboro, Georgia, is a small town located in the eastern part of the state, approximately 25 miles southeast of Augusta. It has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town was founded in 1785 and is named after General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, a hero of the Revolutionary War. It has a rich history and heritage, including being the site of several battles during the Civil War.
