Warmensteinach is a municipality in the district of Bayreuth in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Fichtelgebirge mountains, at an elevation of 535 meters. The municipality has a population of around 2,200 people and covers an area of 15.26 square kilometers. The weather in Warmensteinach is characterized by cold, snowy winters and warm, humid summers. The municipality was first mentioned in 1299 and was granted market rights in 1417.
