Walton Hills, Ohio, is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States, located about 15 miles southeast of downtown Cleveland. The city has a population of approximately 2,300 residents and is known for its beautiful parks, excellent schools, and safe neighborhoods. The city was founded in 1810 by settlers from New England and was originally known as "Chagrin Falls Township." In 1929, the township was incorporated as the Village of Walton Hills, and in 1961, it became a city. Walton Hills has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The city receives an average of 38 inches of precipitation per year, and the average temperature ranges from 25 degrees Fahrenheit in January to 75 degrees Fahrenheit in July.
