Walldürn is a town in the Neckar-Odenwald district, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located at the foot of the Odenwald hills, about 50 kilometers east of Heidelberg. It has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. The town's history dates back to the 12th century, when it was first mentioned in a document. It was granted town rights in 1292 and became a pilgrimage site in the 15th century after the discovery of a miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary. Walldürn is known for its well-preserved medieval town center, which includes the Gothic St. George's Church, the Renaissance Town Hall, and the Baroque pilgrimage church.
