Vyshneye Dolgoye is a village in Orlovsky District, Oryol Oblast, Russia, located 11 kilometers (6.8 mi) from the district's administrative center, Oryol, and 337 kilometers (210 mi) south of Moscow. The village has a humid continental climate, with average temperatures ranging from -10°C (14°F) in January to 20°C (68°F) in July. Vyshneye Dolgoye was first mentioned in written sources in 1625. In the 18th century, the village belonged to the noble family of the Princes Baryatinsky. In the 19th century, it was owned by the Counts Orlov-Davydov. The village is home to the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God, built in 1804.
