Voineasa, also known as Voineasa Mare, is a commune in Vâlcea County, Romania, located in the historical region of Oltenia. The commune is situated at the foot of the Căpățânii Mountains, in the valley of the Lotru River, at an altitude of 600 meters. The commune has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages, and is home to several historical monuments, including the Voineasa Monastery, built in the 16th century.
