Vīrarājendrapet is a town in the Kodagu district of the state of Karnātaka, India. Located in the Western Ghats at an elevation of 1080 meters, it is known for its scenic beauty, coffee plantations, and ancient temples. The town has a pleasant climate throughout the year, with average temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. Vīrarājendrapet was founded in the 17th century by the Kodava king Vira Raja and named after him. It served as the capital of the Kodagu kingdom until the 19th century and remains an important cultural and historical center of the region.
