Verkhneyarkeyevo is a rural locality (a selo) in Bakalinsky District, Bashkortostan, Russia. It is located on the Yaryak River, 23 kilometers (14 mi) northeast of Bakaly, the district's administrative center, and 217 kilometers (135 mi) southwest of Ufa, the republic's capital. The climate is humid continental, with cold, snowy winters and warm, humid summers. Verkhneyarkeyevo was founded in the 18th century by Bashkirs. The village's main heritage site is the Verkhneyarkeyevo Mosque, which was built in 1888.
