Vadul lui Vodă, also known as Vadu-luy-Vode, is a town located in the Chişinău municipality of Moldova. The town is situated on the right bank of the Dniester River, at the mouth of the Vadu lui Vodă River, approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Chişinău. The town has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. The average temperature in January is -4.5 °C (23.9 °F), while the average temperature in July is 21.5 °C (70.7 °F). The town was first mentioned in a document in 1432, and it was granted town status in 1965. Vadul lui Vodă is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Vadu lui Vodă Monastery, which was founded in the 15th century.
