Upper Brookville is an affluent hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York, United States. It is located on the North Shore of Long Island, approximately 25 miles east of Manhattan. The area has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The hamlet was first settled by the Dutch in the 17th century and was originally known as "Brookville". It was renamed "Upper Brookville" in 1897 to distinguish it from the nearby hamlet of Brookville.
