Újfehértó is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, Hungary, with a population of around 13,000. It is located in the eastern part of the country, near the border with Ukraine. The town has a humid continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Újfehértó was first mentioned in historical records in 1270. It was granted town rights in 1450. The town was destroyed by the Ottomans in the 16th century, but was rebuilt in the 17th century. Újfehértó is home to several historical buildings, including the Reformed Church, which was built in the 15th century.
