Tyngsboro is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, located on the north bank of the Merrimack River, 28 miles (45 km) northwest of Boston. The town was first settled in 1653 and incorporated in 1809. It has a population of 11,836 (2020 census) and an area of 22.1 square miles (57.2 km2). The climate is humid continental, with cold, snowy winters and hot, humid summers.
