Tyczyn is a town in south-eastern Poland, located in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. It is situated on the Wisłok River, at the crossroads of the Carpathian Mountains and the Sandomierz Basin. The town has a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Tyczyn's history dates back to the 14th century, when it was a royal town of the Kingdom of Poland. It was an important center of trade and commerce, and was home to a large Jewish community. The town was destroyed during World War II, but was rebuilt after the war. Today, Tyczyn is a modern town with a population of around 6,000 people. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its historic architecture, including the 15th-century castle, the 16th-century synagogue, and the 17th-century church.
