Turcoaia, Romania is a town located in the Tulcea County, in the historical region of Dobruja. The town is situated on the right bank of the Danube River, at the confluence of the Taița River. The climate is temperate continental, with hot summers and cold winters. Turcoaia has a rich history, dating back to the Roman era. The town was part of the Ottoman Empire for several centuries, and was the site of a major battle during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878.
