Tubmanburg, also known as Bomi Hills, is the capital of Bomi County in Liberia. Located in northwestern Liberia, it lies on the banks of the Vai River, with coordinates of 6.8708300 latitude and -10.8172200 longitude. The city's tropical rainforest climate experiences abundant rainfall and high temperatures year-round. Historically, Tubmanburg was the center of the Vai people, who established their Vai Town there in the 1830s. It later became the administrative center of Bomi County and was renamed in honor of Liberian President William Tubman in 1943.
