Temple Terrace is a city in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States, located just north of Tampa. The city has a subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Temple Terrace was founded in 1925 by Temple Terrace Estates, Inc., a land development company. The city was named after Temple Terrace, a subdivision in Arcadia, California. The city's heritage is rooted in the citrus industry, and many of the city's early residents were citrus farmers.
