Temple, New Hampshire is a small town located in Hillsborough County, in the southern part of the state. It has a humid continental climate, with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town was founded in 1761 and was originally known as Peterborough Slip. It was renamed Temple in 1812 in honor of the Masonic Temple that was built there.
