Tecuci, also known as Tekuch or Текуч, is a city in southeastern Romania, located in the county of Galati, in the historical region of Moldavia. The city is situated on the banks of the Barlad River, a tributary of the Siret River. Tecuci has a temperate continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters. The city has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages, and is home to several historical monuments, including the St. Nicholas Church, built in the 15th century, and the Tecuci Palace, built in the 19th century.
