Tavullia, also known as Tomba di Pesaro, is a town in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, The Marches, Italy. It is located at an altitude of 130 meters above sea level, in the valley of the Foglia river, about 10 kilometers from the Adriatic coast. The town has a Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Tavullia has a rich history, dating back to the Roman era. It was part of the Duchy of Urbino from the 15th to the 17th century, and then became part of the Papal States. In 1860, it became part of the Kingdom of Italy. Tavullia is the birthplace of the famous motorcycle racer Valentino Rossi.
