Tavda, a town in the Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia, is located in Western Siberia, at the confluence of the Tavda and Lozva rivers. The town has a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Tavda was founded in 1910 as a railway station on the Trans-Siberian Railway and became a town in 1937. It is known for its timber and pulp and paper industries.
