Tauberbischofsheim is a town in the Main-Tauber-Kreis district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located on the river Tauber, approximately 20 km southwest of Würzburg. The town has a population of around 13,000 and is known for its well-preserved medieval town center, which features half-timbered houses, narrow streets, and a 16th-century town hall. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C in January to 20°C in July. Tauberbischofsheim was first mentioned in 741 and received its town charter in 1347. The town was a center of the Frankish Empire and later became part of the Archbishopric of Mainz. In 1803, Tauberbischofsheim was mediatized to the Grand Duchy of Baden.
