Tápiószőlős is a village in Pest County, Hungary, located in the Central Transdanubian region, 70 kilometers southeast of Budapest. The village has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Tápiószőlős was first mentioned in 1280 as "Halez". The village was the property of the Archdiocese of Esztergom until the 16th century, when it was acquired by the Ottomans. After the reconquest of Hungary, Tápiószőlős became the property of the Esterházy family. The village has a rich cultural heritage, including the Baroque church built in the 18th century and the Tápiószőlős Folk Festival held annually in August.
