Tamparan is a municipality in the province of Lanao del Sur, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Philippines. It is located at the northern part of Lanao del Sur and is bordered by the municipalities of Lumba-Bayabao to the north, Marantao to the east, Taraka to the south, and Wao to the west. The municipality has a tropical rainforest climate with an average annual temperature of 27.6°C. Tamparan was established as a municipality in 1956 and is home to the Maranao people, who are known for their traditional arts and crafts, such as weaving, woodcarving, and metalworking.
