Tahitótfalu is a village in Pest County, Hungary, located on the left bank of the Danube River, 25 kilometers north of Budapest. The village has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Tahitótfalu was first mentioned in 1263 and was originally inhabited by Cumans. In the 15th century, the village was acquired by the Hungarian noble family, the Tahy family, who gave the village its name. Tahitótfalu is known for its beautiful natural scenery, including the Danube River and the Pilis Hills, and is a popular destination for tourists and nature lovers.
