Švenčionėliai, Lithuania, is a town in southeastern Lithuania with a population of 5,484 (2011). It is located in the Vilnius County, 85 km (53 mi) north of Vilnius, on the banks of the Žeimena River. The town is first mentioned in written sources in 1397. In the 16th century, it was granted Magdeburg rights and became a center of trade and crafts. Švenčionėliai was severely damaged during World War II, but was rebuilt after the war. The town is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of St. Anne (built in 1522), the town hall (built in 1825), and the Švenčionėliai Museum of History and Ethnography.
