Süpplingenburg is a municipality in the district of Helmstedt, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located on the Aller river, about 20 km east of Braunschweig. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 3°C in January to 18°C in July. The history of Süpplingenburg dates back to the 11th century, when it was first mentioned as a castle. In the 12th century, it became the seat of the Counts of Süpplingenburg, who were related to the Welf dynasty. The castle was destroyed in the 16th century, but the town continued to grow. Today, Süpplingenburg is a small town with a population of about 6,000 people. The town is known for its historic buildings, including the 12th-century St. Mary's Church.
