Sparneck, Bavaria, Germany is a town in the district of Hof, Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Fichtelgebirge mountains, at the confluence of the rivers Saale and Sparneck. The town has a population of around 1,600 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C in January to 18°C in July. The town was first mentioned in 1122, and was granted town rights in 1309. Sparneck is home to a number of historical buildings, including the Sparneck Castle, which was built in the 12th century. The town is also home to a number of museums, including the Sparneck Museum, which houses a collection of local history and culture.
