Southwick, Massachusetts, is a town in Hampden County with a population of 9,502 (2020). It is located in the Pioneer Valley region of Western Massachusetts, approximately 10 miles (16 km) south of Springfield. The town has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Southwick was first settled in 1670 and incorporated in 1770. The town is home to the Southwick's Zoo, one of the largest zoos in New England.
