South Peabody, Massachusetts, United States is a census-designated place (CDP) in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 11,442 at the 2010 census. South Peabody is located in the northeastern part of the state, about 15 miles (24 km) north of Boston. The climate is humid continental, with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The area was first settled by Europeans in the 17th century, and was originally part of the town of Danvers. South Peabody was incorporated as a separate town in 1855, and became a CDP in 2010.
