Somerville, Tennessee is a small town located in the western part of the state, approximately 45 miles east of Memphis. It has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town was founded in 1825 and named after General Winfield Scott, who served in the War of 1812. Somerville has a rich history and heritage, including being the site of the Battle of Somerville during the Civil War.
