Słupca is a town in central Poland, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The town has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Słupca was first mentioned in 1238 and received town rights in 1283. The town was an important center of trade and commerce in the Middle Ages and was home to a large Jewish community. Słupca was destroyed during World War II and was rebuilt after the war. Today, the town is a regional center of commerce and industry.
