Sitagroí is a village in the municipality of Paranesti, in the regional unit of Drama, Greece. It is located 25 kilometers northeast of Drama and 10 kilometers south of Paranesti. The climate of Sitagroí is temperate, with hot summers and cold winters. The history of Sitagroí dates back to the Byzantine period, when it was known as Minare Chiflik. The village was abandoned during the Ottoman period and was repopulated in the 19th century by refugees from Asia Minor. Sitagroí is home to a number of historical and cultural monuments, including the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Monastery of Saint George, and the Folklore Museum of Sitagroí.
