Silandro (Schlanders in German), is a small town in the province of South Tyrol, Italy. It is located in the Vinschgau Valley, at the confluence of the Adige and Schlanderserbach rivers. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters. The town has a rich history, dating back to the Roman era. It was part of the County of Tyrol from the 13th century until 1919, when it became part of Italy. The town is home to a number of historical buildings, including the Schlandersburg Castle and the Church of St. Nicholas.
