Sieniawa is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Sulechów, within Zielona Góra County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Sulechów, 19 km (12 mi) north-east of Zielona Góra, and 70 km (43 mi) south of Gorzów Wielkopolski. The village has a population of 1,000. The average temperature in Sieniawa is 8.3 degrees Celsius (46.9 degrees Fahrenheit). The warmest month is July, with an average temperature of 18.1 degrees Celsius (64.6 degrees Fahrenheit). The coldest month is January, with an average temperature of -1.4 degrees Celsius (29.5 degrees Fahrenheit). The village was first mentioned in a document from 1295. It was granted town rights in 1375 by Duke Henry VIII of Legnica. The town was destroyed by fire in 1631 during the Thirty Years' War. It was rebuilt in the 17th century. The town was annexed by Prussia in 1793 during the Second Partition of Poland. It was returned to Poland after World War II.
