Seymour, Connecticut is a town in New Haven County with a population of 16,540. It is located in the Naugatuck Valley at the confluence of the Naugatuck and Housatonic Rivers. The town was founded in 1659 and was named after Thomas Seymour, the third governor of the Connecticut Colony. Seymour has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town is home to a number of historical sites, including the Seymour Pink House, which was built in 1795 and is one of the oldest houses in Connecticut.
