Seròs, also known as Seros or Serós, is a municipality in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is located at an altitude of 105 meters above sea level, on the right bank of the Segre river. The municipality has a total area of 20.6 km² and a population of 1,950 inhabitants (2020). The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature is 15.2 °C and the average annual rainfall is 450 mm. Seròs has a rich history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Neolithic period. The town was first mentioned in written documents in 1080, when it was part of the County of Urgell. In the 12th century, it became part of the Crown of Aragon. Seròs has a number of historical monuments, including the Church of Sant Pere, which dates back to the 12th century, and the Castle of Seròs, which was built in the 14th century.
