Sava is a town located in the province of Taranto, in the Apulia region of Italy. It is situated in the northern part of the province, at an elevation of 250 meters above sea level. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Sava has a rich history, dating back to the ancient Greek period. It was an important center during the Roman Empire, and later became part of the Byzantine Empire. In the 9th century, it was conquered by the Arabs, who ruled it for several centuries. After the Norman conquest of southern Italy, Sava became part of the Kingdom of Sicily. In the 19th century, it became part of the Kingdom of Italy.
