Sasovo, a city in the Ryazan Oblast of Russia, is located at the confluence of the Tsna and Sasovka rivers. Its climate is humid continental with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Founded in 1642 as a village, Sasovo became a city in 1926. It played a significant role in the development of the Russian railway system and is home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Resurrection, built in 1790.
